Andy trained at Southampton University, and qualified in 1987.
His additional qualifications are MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) and DFFP (Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning).
He has worked in Jersey since 1992, originally with Les Saisons Surgery, and then with Island Medical Centre, when it was formed in 2009.
His medical interests include dermatology; in particular skin cancer and melanoma detection. He performs minor operations to remove ‘lumps and bumps’, as well as suspicious moles. He practices acupuncture and uses this for a variety of muscle and joint conditions. He is also interested in medical informatics (use of computers in medicine).
He is married to Kim, and between them they have five children.
In his spare time he enjoys fell walking in the Lake District, walking his dog on the beach, and fixing other people’s computers when they stop working!
