Dr Budd graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1993 having previously trained and worked as a registered osteopath. She went on to do her GP training at University College Hospital in central London. She has completed postgraduate qualifications including Diploma in Child Health (DCH), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG) and Family Planning (DFFP).
After time working in paediatrics whilst co-authoring a paediatric textbook for medical students, Dr Budd moved to Jersey in 2000 to become a full time GP partner.
Her special interests are all aspects of women and children’s health and she enjoys baby checks and child immunisation clinics. Her love of travel has also led to an involvement in the travel medicine clinics. More recently she is gaining experience in the dermatoscopic assessment of moles and other skin conditions.
Outside of work, Dr Budd enjoys running, tennis and walking in the mountains. She has settled in Jersey primarily because she met her Jersey bean husband whilst trekking on the Incan trail in Peru.
