Dr Spence trained at Manchester University and qualified in 1989. Her additional qualifications are MRCGP (Membership of the Royal college of General Practitioners) and DROCG (Diploma of the Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists).
She worked as a GP in Stockport, Cheshire before moving to Jersey in 2011. Dr Spence joined Island Medical Centre in November 2011 where she works as a part time partner.
Dr Spence has a special interest in women’s health including family planning and she is trained to fit and remove the intrauterine device (coil). She is trained in Dermoscopy and is one of the doctors that run the Mole Recognitions Clinics at Island Medical Centre. She regularly volunteers for the Donna Annand mole clinic checks.
Dr Spence is married with 6 children and 2 dogs. She enjoys running having recently completed the London Marathon. When time allows she also enjoys cooking, baking and reading.
