Dr Cochrane trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, University of London qualifying in 1983. Her additional qualifications are MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) and DRCOG (Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology).
After qualifying as a GP, Dr Cochrane worked in London for ten years before moving to Jersey in 2001. She worked as a part time GP and Clinical Medical Officer in Baby clinics and Family Planning clinics until, along with her partners from Ivy House Surgery, they joined Island Medical Practice in March 2014.
She enjoys all aspects of General Practice, but especially paediatrics and gynaecology. She feels very fortunate to work alongside partners with such varied interests and experience, in such a supportive and caring environment.
